Company History: Founded in Rhode Island in 1907, the company opened its first branch office in 1941 then proceeded to add homeowners' insurance in 1956 and marine and personal excess liability insurance some years later. The company moved its headquarters to Lincoln in 1994. Amica has over 3,200 employees and 43 offices nationwide. The company is the oldest mutual insurer of automobiles in the U.S.
